1) What is a Big Bang?
A big bang is a fandom event where writers and artists get to collaborate on a piece of fanfic and fanart. The author writes a longer fanfic piece, and artists are assigned to illustrate the fic. It’s a lot of fun, builds a sense of community, and floods the fandom with amazing art and fics on the post date!2) What is the theme of this Big Bang?
The theme is anything and everything ‘Cyhaino’! It welcomes creations on the Alhaitham x Cyno ship pairing, in any form. It can be Haino, Cytham or just Cyhaino if you don’t have a preference. The main focus should only be on cyhaino as a romantic pairing but other characters and pairings are welcome on the side.3) How do I sign-up?
Sign ups will open for the Cyhaino 2025 Big Bang on November 27th 2024 - January 7th 2025. Pay attention to our twitter page and discord server for announcements!4) What are the requirements for artists/writers?
You can find the rules and requirements for writers and artists on our rules page and in the sign up form.5) Do I need to have experience to be a participant?
No, we happily welcome anyone with or without experience.6) Who is allowed to participate?
As this event may involve nsfw content, we require all creators to be 18+ to participate. This is a safety precaution for minors and everyone else involved.7) What types of works are allowed?
We welcome sfw and nsfw works. However, no dead dove content will be permitted. If you are unsure of if your idea might cross over into dead dove please check with our assigned mods.8) Can I sign up as an artist and a writer?
Yes you can choose to both be a writer and an artist. However you will not be illustrating your own work as the point of the event is to encourage collaboration among the fandom. It is required that you work as a team.9) Can I submit my writing in any language?
No, this event is in English. Writers and artists will be paired up anonymously therefore artists have to be able to read and understand your ideas as you work together throughout the event. To ensure consistent communication there will be regular check-ins by moderators therefore using one language will make everything run more smoothly.10) Can I choose my own artist?
No because the goal of a big bang is getting to meet and collaborate with new people! Going into claims with no knowledge is a big part of that. Artists and writers will not be permitted to sign up as a “package deal” situation.11) Can I finish a WIP?
Yes but only as long as the piece is original to the event, and has never been posted (partially, in chapters, or in excerpts) anywhere else previously.12) Is AI allowed?
No. Use of AI will not be condoned in any pieces created for this event. Any creator suspected or caught using AI will be spoken to by the mods and in the extreme case, banned from participating in the event. Please make sure anything you create is entirely your own work, no AI or plagiarism will be tolerated.13) Can I tell people I’m participating in the event?
Yes you absolutely can! We encourage that you share news about the event with others! However, we ask that you not share details of the piece you are working on to anybody outside of your assigned event partner and/or your beta until posting date. All pieces must be kept a secret until reveal.14) Do I need to have Discord?
Yes, all contributors and mods must have a discord account. Discord will be the key platform for communication with contributors throughout the pairing, creation, and promotion period.
